In the case of emotional health, Minnesotans were ranked fourth.<\/p>\n<p>The ranking, derived from the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, comes about a week after the <a href=\"http:\/\/twincities.bizjournals.com\/twincities\/stories\/2009\/03\/02\/daily10.html\">Minneapolis metro area came in 19th<\/a> in BusinessWeek.com\u2019s list of the 20 unhappiest cities in the United States.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In Minnesota, we refer to the Twin Cities as the \u201cmetro area\u201d and the rest of the state as \u201coutstate.\u201d\u00a0 Apparently happiness is found in the outstate areas.\u00a0 This distinction is even more pronounced this weekend as our state high school hockey tournament is underway.\u00a0 You have to live here to appreciate the enormity of this tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, isn\u2019t this a sign that we have <em>way too many<\/em> polls occurring in this country?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ok, I\u2019m confused \u2013 from our local Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal: Gallup, Healthways and America\u2019s Health Insurance Plans earlier this week ranked Minnesota as fifth in the country for the overall health of its people.
