Rewards - Personal Relationships
A measure of one’s internal appreciation for others beyond their current work role.
This is the reward generated by seeing, appreciating and meeting the needs and interests of others. This person is driven by being accepted and recognized as a unique person, not solely as a work professional that is a member of a team or group.
Responds to: activities outside of the office, social gatherings, spontaneous group discussions
Salesperson Example: This salesperson often values a relationship sale along with extracurricular activities that allow for non-work discussions. They appreciate a manager who takes time to know them as a person more than just a worker.
