I was reading <a href=\"http:\/\/www.twincities.com\/mld\/twincities\/sports\/hockey\/14820696.htm?source=rss&#038;channel=twincities_hockey\" target=\"_blank\">this article<\/a> this morning and came across an interesting quote from the Wild&#8217;s General Manager:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>General manager Doug Risebrough demands fresh ideas from his advisers, and he praised Snow&#8217;s enthusiasm and work ethic as a journalist and his passion for hockey in announcing the hiring.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Where he came from was really academic,&#8221; Risebrough said. &#8220;I always believe if you get really talented people, you put them in a good environment and don&#8217;t constrict it. I don&#8217;t know how it will look in two years, but we&#8217;ll see.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The person he hired is a 24 year old beat writer for the Boston Globe.  Suffice to say that is not a stereotypical hire for this type of position.
