		<description>Derrick, I think this post relates directly to the larger and persistent issue of sales managers being promoted into that position (only) because they were the best salesperson.  

Those people unfortunately come into that management position without some the required skills needed for job success. A few of those are: building an organization, conflict resolution, hiring, and compensation planning. Being able to make a lot of money via a comp plan doesn&#039;t mean you can design one.</description>
