Rewards - Status & Recognition
A measure of the importance of social status or prestige to a person’s current role.
This is a measure of the importance of receiving awards, plaques and other forms of social/role recognition. It relates more to formal status and recognition than to informal or emergent status and other more subtle types of recognition.
Responds to: public acknowledgement of successes, exclusive membership in a club (i.e. President’s Club), titles of authority
Salesperson Example: This salesperson values praise and recognition for their successes. Their status reward often includes inclusion in exclusive clubs which can be work related (President’s Club) or socially related (private golf club membership).
